The Board of Education received 63% yes voter approval at the April 5, 2004 election and permission to increase the operating levy by $0.77 at future tax rate hearings. At the next tax-rate hearing the board opted to increase the operating levy $0.065, keeping their word to these yes voters based on the needs of the school district as conservative board stewards.
